Holistic Nurse Coach
Holistic Nurse Coaching has become very popular with Wellness focused nurse professionals. The AHNCC has created a national Board Certified Coach designation for nurse coaches, which requires approved and endorsed courses to qualify to sit for this national board certification.
The NIWH Whole Health Educator for Nurses program is endorsed and approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) and the American Holistic Nurse Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC) to meet the continuing education requirements necessary to apply for certification as a Holistic Nurse and Nurse Coach. NIWH is an accredited provider of ANCC continuing education contact hours, thru VNSA, and a content provider of Whole Health continuing education courses for Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
NIWH offers a unique opportunity for Nurse Coaches to earn NPI credentials for billing and coding in private practice. For more information about this exciting opportunity visit our Nurse Coach Track page.
Holistic Nurse Coach Certification
The AHNCC certification process establishes minimum knowledge and competency standards for holistic nursing practice. It assures the public that the certified holistic nurse has completed all eligibility requirements to earn a credential verifying that he/she has achieved the level of knowledge and competency required for practice of holistic nursing; and recognizes nurses who have met those standards.
A Board Certified Holistic Nurse Coach Exam
In addition to the AHNA national Holistic Nurse Certification exam, AHNCC has developed a board certification exam for Nurse Coaching. In order to qualify for this specialty, pre-requisites and mentor hours are required. NIWH’s 3-in-1 Whole Health Education for Nurses program provides its nurse learners with the pre-requisites to qualify, as well as the ability to sit for the national Chronic Care Professional certification at a 65% discount, and to earn an NPI number for health insurance payments.
